Spears are useless when they hover over you launching area effect fire spells. I mean, I used to laugh at people who had a hard time with them - "dood just use a spear lol muatra master race lmao", but now I actually have to watch the skies while I travel. There I am, hoptoading around basically anywhere, minding my own business, only killing blighted creatures, daedra, vampires, undead - leaving the wild life alone, hostile or not - and I'll be cracking open a lock to a cavern when suddenly I get hit with a fire spell and I look up and there's like three of those fuckers with three more on the way, ranging from run of the mill with God's Fire spells to King Racers who hit hard as fuck. I'm level 30 right now, halfway through most factions in Vvardenfell, over 300 HP ( thanks Talrivian) and great stats because hey, I'm a good player (also thanks to Lazy) and I still get killed by goddamned cliff racers! Shit, I'm using Deadlier Cliffracers and Danae's Cliff Racers too. I'm also using Firebreathing Cliffracers. This time I figured, fuck it, I'll go Imperial Thief custom and do every faction to check out how TR integrates the mainland factions. Right now I'm running a heavily modded (~150) set up (all of them featured in the current version of the manual) with SHOTN, P:C, and TR 1709. Normally I go Atronach for my birthsign with BAMF, which gives a 10% Resist Fire on top of a 50% spell absorption I usually go Dark Elf for a total of 85% Resist Fire starting out, so I'm effectively fireproof. You see, I went through all the creature mods in the Creatures section of my manual as usual. I actually play with a lot of those mods, but to be honest some I wasn't 100% familiar with until after I put that list together.īoy was I in for a world of hurt when I tried something new.
